Norske Vaffler/Norwegian waffles

Thank you for all your support in my previous blog post.

Today is Norway’s’ independence day, it is a huge deal in Norway. We have parades all day and fun and games. We also eat lots of ice cream and also waffles. They are made differently than american waffles and even with a different machine. It is similar but makes thinner waffles. Look the machine up – norwegian waffle maker πŸ™‚

So because I live in the states, I am just going to celebrate by making vaffler and also sharing the “standard” recipe ( unfortunately I’m not going to share my secret ingredient) *evil laugh*. BUT, the standard recipe I know is still amazing! I believe it is the one my mom makes πŸ™‚ Yum!

So for this recipe you need:
Norwegian Vaffle Maker!!
50gr Melted butter
2 Eggs
6 dl Milk
5dl Flour
1/4 teaspoon salt

First of melt the butter. Then mix the wet ingredients together before you add the dry. Mix it all together. Some people like to have the mixture stand for a little before they use it. But when you have mixed your ingredients you are ready to go. Remember, these waffles are much thinner than American ones so you do not need to put a whole lot of mixture in machine πŸ™‚
